The Interview With God
I dreamed I had an interview with God."Come in," God said.
"So,u wud like to interview Me?""If u hve the time," I said.
God smiled n said: "My time is eternity n is enough to do everything;
Wht questions do u hve in mind to ask me?"
"What surprises u most abt mankind?"
God answered: "Tht they get bored of being children,
r in a rush to grow up, n then long to be children again
Tht they lose their health to make money n then lose their money to restore their health
Tht by thinking anxiously abt the future,they forget the present,such tht they live neither for the present nor the future
Tht they live as if they will never die,n they die as if they had never lived.
"God's hands took mine n then I asked, "As a parent, wht r some of life's lessons u want ur children to learn?"
God replied with a smile:
"To learn tht they cannot make nyone love them.Wht they can do is to let themselves be loved
To learn tht wht is most valuable is not wht they have in their lives, but who they hve in their lives
To learn tht it is not good to compare themselves to others.All will be judged individually on their own merits, not as a group on a comparison basis
To learn tht a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least
To learn tht it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, n tht it takes many years to heal them
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness
To learn tht there r persons tht love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express orshow their feelings
To learn tht money can buy everything but happiness
To learn tht two people can look at the same thing n see it totally different
To learn tht a true friend is someone who knows everything abt them, n likes them anyway
To learn tht it is not always enough tht they be forgiven by others, but tht they hve to forgive themselves.
"I sat there for a while n thanked HIM.He replied,"Nytime I'm here 24hrs a day.All u hve to do is ask for me, n I'll answer."
